The game's tracks are original layouts, designed like real karting tracks: fast, technical or very technical, in the forest, in the desert, by the sea… Real tracks will be added with their operators' permission.
Just like in club racing: if you hit an opponent with your nose, your front fairing gets pushed in and you take a 5-second penalty at the finish. A really big hit, into the tyres or another kart, and your kart blows up: it's back on track 2 seconds later. Cutting a corner on the inside costs you too: lap deleted in time trial, +2 s in a race. Grass slows you down a bit; the sand and gravel traps on the outside of tight corners, a lot more: you crawl back out. Stuck? The marshals put you back on track automatically.
Just like the real thing: the rubber laid down on the dry racing line is super slippery, so you have to find grip off it, often on the outside (the “wet line”). Brake earlier and more gently, and get back on the gas progressively. Wet lap times have their own leaderboard and their own medals on every track.
No: the kart turns as soon as you press the arrow and slows down as soon as you lift off the throttle. If you come in too fast, it runs wide and slides a little, without spinning out. Lap time is won under braking, on the racing line and with your setup (rear sprocket, track width, tyre pressure — tyres warm up lap after lap).
Yes: plug in your wheel/pedals, open the garage options and run the calibration (20 seconds). Regular gamepads are recognized right away.
Create your account: your crew is ready, with your invite link (WhatsApp, SMS, copy). Your friends click, see your lap times to beat on every track and join your leaderboard. You also get a chat to trash-talk each other. You can also create public or private groups (club, coworkers, team) from the Groups page.

To play, nothing. If you create a username: the username, your encrypted password, your kart color, your lap times with their ghosts and your game stats. Two technical cookies keep you logged in and count games played. To delete your account: hello@kart-gp.com.
